Britt Stewart started dancing at the age of three at her local dance studio in Colorado, Artistic Fusion Dance Academy. In 2000 she was accepted into the dance program at the prestigious Denver School of the Arts where she got extensive training in modern and cultural dance styles. After graduating in 2007 she was accepted into the modern and ballet program at Loyola Marymount University and subsequently moved to Los Angeles where she still resides today. Britt began her professional dance career at the young age of twelve with a national touring tap company, TapKids, and a national K-mart commercial choreographed by Wayne Cilento. Britt has not stopped working since. She was hired as a principle dancer in all three High School Musical movies, the remake of Fame, and No Strings Attached. She has toured and performed alongside world-renowned recording artists such as Florence and the Machine, Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Annie Lenox, Selena Gomez, and Janet Jackson. She has worked with choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Fatima Robinson, Marguerite Derricks, Kenny Ortega, HiHat, Wade Robson, and many more. Britt appeared in ABC Family's Dancing Fools Fridays 7/6c.

- Her first notable appearance in the show was as an extra dancer in Season 22's Disney Night event, alongside Jensen Arnold and Tracy Shibata.
- Following Jenna Johnson's promotion to competing pro in Season 23, Britt was chosen to take her place in the troupe full-time, becoming the first black female professional dancer to have a full-time role in the show, and eventually joined the line-up of the Hot Summer Nights tour after Season 24.
