Jason Mraz is a two-time GRAMMY® Award winner and Songwriters Hall of Fame Honoree. Mraz has earned platinum and multiplatinum certifications in more than 20 countries. He has received several platinum and gold RIAA certifications, and a Diamond Award for “I’m Yours,” which also surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify and was the most-streamed song by a solo artist in the 2000s decade.

Mraz released Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride, his eighth studio album, on June 23, 2023. The album sees Mraz reuniting with numerous collaborators, including Los Angeles all-female band Raining Jane and producer Martin Terefe, who helmed 2008’s “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things,” which included the hit single “I’m Yours” and GRAMMY Award winning songs “Lucky” and “Make It Mine.”

Mraz has always held activism as a priority; and throughout his career, he’s been an advocate for equality, climate preservation, arts education and much more.

In the past, Mraz has traveled around the globe in an effort to shine a light on important issues: Antarctica with Al Gore to raise awareness of climate change; Ghana to participate in a child slave rescue; and Myanmar, where he was the first global artist to perform in decades at a show bringing attention to the issue of human trafficking.

Mraz heads his own Jason Mraz Foundation, whose mission it is to shine for inclusive arts education, food security and the advancement of equality. The Jason Mraz Foundation has donated more than $1.5 million to various nonprofits supporting these ideals. Additionally, $1.23 from every concert ticket Mraz sells is donated to the foundation.

In 2021 the foundation held a campaign called Share The Good, which gave fans the opportunity to suggest nonprofits to receive grants of $2,000 each. Originally slated for 25 organizations, the foundation discovered so many worthy programs that it ended up awarding grants to 33 nonprofits. Overall, in 2021, the foundation granted awards to total $109,000. In 2022, $160,000 was split among 37 organizations.

In February 2020, Mraz performed two shows called Shine at San Diego’s Spreckels Theatre which featured local inclusive arts organizations who were Foundation grant recipients. Participating arts organizations included Banding Together, which brings music opportunities to individuals with special needs; Malashock Dance, whose education program is designed to bring access to dance for underserved students, low-income families, individuals with disabilities, and promising pre-professional dancers who may face financial barriers; and transcenDANCE, which guides young people in underserved San Diego County communities to transcend barriers, expand their ambitions, and create positive change for themselves, their families and community, through dance and performance.

Mraz resides in Oceanside, California, where he farms avocados, passion fruit and coffee beans through Mraz Family Farms.

Mraz Family Farms supplied avocados to Chipotle. In 2021, Chipotle announced Mraz as a mentor in their Chipotle Aluminaries Project, where he worked with entrepreneurs in the agriculture space to support a more sustainable food system.
