Dwts Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy

The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, formerly known as the Mirrorball Trophy, is a championship trophy given to the winning couple at the end of each season.

The Mirrorball Trophy before the rename

Mirrorballs were first widely used in nightclubs in the 1920s. In the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, these devices were a standard piece of equipment in discotheques. The trophy can either be two separate trophies for the star and pro or one singular trophy for the both of them. While usually silver, the winning couple of Season 20 was given a special gold mirrorball trophy in celebration of the show's tenth anniversary. In Season 32, the trophy was renamed to The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, in honour and memory of former head judge Len Goodman.
