The Trio Dances usually occur during the quarterfinals or the semifinals. A professional dancer whose celebrity partner has been eliminated or a member of the troupe will dance with the celebrity and their partner. This was introduced in Season 14.
For Season 25, a former celebrity champion or runner up danced with the celebrity and their partner.
